About this Course

The beginner's class focuses on a basic skills, which include safely performing: introductory kata, blocks, kicks and strikes. The class further includes self-defense, proper manners, focus and body mechanics. This is in preparation to participate in advanced or experienced training. Training adopts science of the US Olympic committee & standards of the Japan Karate Federation. Students may participate in regional & international competition with opportunities to train in Japan and international seminars with the instructor. Additional fee for national & international membership and testing (not mandatory). Drop in is $20 per session. No training Aug 9 - 20 (Seminar in Japan). Training equipment (white Karate uniform) suggested for participants wishing to continue training.
